Based in Carrboro, Katherine Dupree, Wedding Officiant, has crafted and performed hundreds of unforgettable wedding ceremonies across the country from Hawaii to Florida to the DC.
Rev. Katherine has a flair for making her couples feel seen and heard during the planning process, mindfully picking up details and nuances about your relationship that she artfully weaves into her ceremonies, making guests feel like she's been a part of the couples' life for years.
Before transitioning to Weddings, Katherine worked in the storytelling space, helping community members speak about their most meaningful, vulnerable moments and their most wild adventures in a way that really "lands" with the audience. She was constantly in awe of the way the spoken word could foster connection, facilitate healing and shift the trajectory of an entire evening, which she now channels into weddings.
A proud member of the queer community, Katherine prides herself on being radically kind, inclusive and open-minded, and loves working with couples from all walks of life.
She self-describes as a late-blooming lesbian, pet mom, pizza lover and spiritual seeker, the kind of friend who at one moment is offering you a cup of tea and reminding you to look after your heart, and belly laughing with you over a beer, the next. She loves travel, the outdoors, a good day planner and meaningful conversations with kindred spirits.
